Trying This Will Make Your Long Commute Worth Your Time
May 8, 2017
Is your glass half full or half empty? It may be an overused phrase/hypothetical question but it suits the subject. Commuting doesn’t have to be dreadful. It’s essentially a matter of perception. Sure, the woman smacking her gum and excessively rummaging through her bag beside you sucks, and sure – a squawking 8-month-old makes it difficult to start the day, but hey, it’s how you look at it. If the ride were merely a waste of time, something to endure simply to get from point A to point B, C, or D - well of course that’s something to be invidious of. Now, try pursuing a new passion. Put some noise blockers in and do something new. Never had an opportunity to write poetry? Here’s your chance. Haven't had the chance to finally learn a new language with that free app you downloaded 3 months ago? Your moment is now. Make your commute count. If it’s worth your time, it’ll never be an inconvenience.
