  • Has a Bachelor's degree in business, design or related field (preferably 5 years of successful contract selling experience)
  • Pursues leads through extensive networking
  • Is an avid researcher; can research for leads in business journals, newspapers, industry periodicals and publications, & the Internet
  • Sufficiently performs cold calls to potential clients through various methods
  • Can strategically collaborate with our business developers from both the Interior Solutions and Architectural Elements side of the business; acquires new opportunities
  • Is timely, comfortable presenting, and is astounding at developing detailed, accurate, and professional AOE proposals
  • Can go above and beyond sales objectives
  • Accepts responsibility for the accuracy of all orders and reviews; has an eye for potential errors
  • Closes sales effectively and professionally
  • Executes sale implementation to identify any errors and ensures smooth completion
  • Provides customers with friendly, frequent follow-ups regarding sales services and information; presents customers with regular reports on order status & project progress
  • Can assist with our accounting team in resolving any late receivables or customer credit concerns
  • Holds impressive knowledgeable of AOE's product lines; has good understanding of contract furniture management at dealer level
  • Is aware of office environment issues (ergonomics, technology integration, office productivity, etc.)
  • Has unbelievable interpersonal skills; verbal + written, strong listening expertise
  • Continually searches for the next opportunity; willingness to maintain organization & demonstrates high level of integrity
  • Excellently proficient in: (including use of PCs) MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, and other internal software programs
